Our Impact

Since our founding in 2014, Grand Gentlemen has been an organization that looks to inspire young men of color and show them what it means to be a gentleman.

We started this journey by creating social media content filled with fashionable young men coming together in brotherhood and fellowship. We call this positive propaganda, and the purpose is to counter negative stereotypes of young men of color in the media. Over time we felt we had an obligation to do more than just create content and show people what a gentleman LOOKS like, we wanted to show the community that a Gentleman is a man of the people. And that starts with SERVICE.

This led us to reach out to local youth groups, churches, and community centers to speak to young men and show them what it means to be a Gentleman first hand. We started teaching young men how to tie ties, how carry themselves, about self respect and respecting others, but that felt like the bare minimum to us.

In 2018, we started our man of the year scholarship, which sparked a fire of service in our organization that has been burning ever since. We have given out 32 scholarships and counting to young men and women in the OKC area and that has been our main objective as an organization. Our scholarship supports education, professionalism, and entrepreneurship for Black youth in OKC and promotes a new generation of leaders and Gentlemen.

We also do an annual back to school bash with our partners 44th Rose, in which we have given away over 1200 sets of backpacks and school supplies since 2019.

Our winter coat drive has resulted in over 300 children in OKC getting winter coats for FREE!

We’ve also done Mothers Day & Fathers Day giveaways, the Mothers Day package included free suits for young men ages 12 and under, a free photo session with their mothers, and a dinner at The Jones Assembly. The Fathers Day package includes a free suit for dad and dinner. We do this because we want to promote healthy house holds, celebrate men who take care of their responsibility as a father, and encourage young men to treat women the right way, starting with their mothers.

In 2021 we held our first suit drive, where we donated over 150 suits and dress shirts to men in need in the Oklahoma City community. We did this in an effort to help men get back on their feet after the pandemic.
